Malikhanye Daycare Centre, Wolseley

The Malikhanye Daycare Centre focuses on providing a safe environment to educate and take care of children in the Pine Valley area in Wolseley. This area is underdeveloped with a lack of proper infrastructure and permanent employment options. 

 

This centre is the only one in the area and struggles to meet the need of caring for the numerous children in the community. At the moment, 50 children are looked after. The Malikhanye Daycare Centre is registered with the Department of Social Development and is run by Badisa. 

 

With the help of the Hope and Reconciliation Trust, the Malikhanye Daycentre Centre was able to:

build an additional classroom to accommodate more children.
